LA MESA LIONS CLUB
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
The La Mesa Lions Club has established the following guidelines for application of a one-year scholarship award in the amount up to $2000.00 per academic year ($1,000.00 per semester with proof of academic performance). The number of scholarships is not guaranteed and is based on funding, but in recent years the club has awarded three students with this amount to assist in paying for their education expenses.
DUE DATE: No later than February 28, 2025
ELIGIBILITY:
Student must be enrolled in Gadsden High School and plan to attend a New Mexico College or technical school.
Student must reside in La Mesa, San Miguel, Mesquite, Berino, Del Cerro, Chamberino or Vado.
Student must have a GPA between 2.50 and 3.50.
Each student awarded a scholarship is expected to attend a La Mesa Lions Club meeting to be introduced to the Club.

Request Letter: Click HERE to provide your request letter. You may either upload a copy of your letter or you may copy/paste or type it directly into the form. Please include the following information in your formal request letter to the La Mesa Lions Club Scholarship Committee:
WHY you are deserving of this scholarship.
WHAT your goals are for the future.
WHICH schools you are planning to apply to (and if you have already been accepted).
WHO you and your family are. Please provide information about your family and indicate if there is financial need.
Official Transcript: Click HERE to upload a copy of your official transcript. A Gmail account is required to upload, if you do not have one you can create a free account. Please note: Your transcript must be uploaded at the time of application and again at the beginning of the 2nd semester so that the second payment of $1000.00 can be made. This portal can be used for the 2nd semester upload as well.
Resume: Click HERE to provide your resume. You may either upload a copy of your existing resume or you may copy/paste or type it directly into the form. A Gmail account is required to upload, if you do not have one you can create a free account. Your resume should include name, address, contact information, any work history, awards or commendations you may have received, special accomplishments, extra-curricular activities, and any community and/or civic involvement.
Submissions will not be considered complete until all four (4) requirements have been met. You may complete each requirement independently, but all 4 requirements must be completed before February 28th, 2025 to be considered for the scholarship.
